Needle Exchange
SCAPs comprehensive Needle Exchange Program aims to provide education and other forms of support for safer drug use. The program does not promote nor condemn drug use; it is designed to provide interventions for injection drug users to eliminate or significantly reduce negative drug-using behaviors.
SCAP's services are free, confidential and anonymous. Our workers are specially trained to provide skilled, risk reduction counseling which includes healthcare and social service referrals. We treat our program participants with dignity and respect. We do not try to force any behavior changes upon our program participants; instead, we work to empower individuals to improve their health and the health of their communities.
