Getting Involved

Volunteering at the Santa Cruz AIDS Project

We at SCAP want your volunteer experience to be just as rewarding to you as it is beneficial to the clients and communities we serve. We have a variety of opportunities that require varying levels of commitments and training. Every task that you contribute your time and energy toward makes it possible for SCAP to continue doing the invaluable work that we do in the community.

The information below describes the many ways in which you can join the SCAP community in our mission to provide services for those infected and affected by HIV and offer innovative education and prevention programs to end the spread of HIV.

To become a volunteer at SCAP:

Step 1: Call the Volunteer & Staff Support Manager for an interview at 427.3900 x214
Step 2: Attend a one-time Volunteer Training
Step 3: Meet your supervisor and attend the secondary training (for Harm Reduction Program and Massage Program only).
Step 4: Shadow and learn the ropes of your volunteer position.
