*An opportunity for the public to share memories with others

Topics will include:
*First Hand:
A first hand description of what it means to live with HIV given by those who are HIV-infected in our community. At the Center For Conscious Living in Live Oak from 6:30-8:30
*Harm Reduction Sexual Practices:
This controversial topic provides important information regarding
HIV risk reduction techniques for those who are both HIV+ and HIV-. Also at the Center for Conscious Living from 6:30-8:30
*HIV/AIDS in Africa: How it Affects Us Locally:
This discussion will review both Public Health and Medical approaches to addressing the HIV epidemic here and abroad. It will focus on how understanding cultural norms are essential to effective prevention and treatment programs. At UCSC Oakes room 105 from 7-10
*Abstaining from Reality:
An evidence-based evaluation of current HIV prevention policy in the United States and in Developing Countries. This will include a viewing of a short documentary called Abstaining from Reality. To be viewed at the First Congressional Church at 900 High St. in the back room
