Surf City Century 2006

The central coast's newest century event is a ride through some of the prettiest roads of Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey Counties. This is a fully supported ride held on October 1st, beginning at Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz and includes rest stops approximately every 10-12 miles, water stops (where necessary) and complete SAG/Safety support in between. The rest stops will include snacks, water, and sports drinks.

A hot catered meal and music will be provided to all participants at Cabrillo College upon completion of the ride. Massages and hot showers are also available at this time. This is truly a fun and memorable ride, and an excellent way to support Santa Cruz AIDS Project programs and increase awareness of HIV / AIDS throughout the community.

The Different Routes

	The 25 mile route follows less traveled roads in South Santa Cruz County. It has beautiful views, moderate climbs and one rest stop. Starting time is 9 - 10 am.
	The 60 mile route parallels the full century as far as the Aromas rest/lunch stop. From there, it travels through the rolling hills of Northern Monterey County towards the ocean before rejoining the century ride near Elkhorn Slough. Starting time is 7 - 9 am.
	The 100 mile Surf City Century will take you to San Juan Bautista where you will have a delicious lunch and on through wonderful back roads, farmlands and ocean views in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties. Starting time is 7 - 8 am.

Fundraising Drive & Prizes

Surf City Century participants who do additional fundraising for the Santa Cruz AIDS Project become eligble to receive great prizes. Anyone who raises more than $150 will receive a commemorative 2006 Surf City Century Performance T-Shirt.
